Due to the barrel length laws in Canada these are prohibited weapons, but lucky for me there is an option that allows us to own the next best thing, and I actually found one. That's a little beauty! Thanks for sharing. Regardless of age and experience, we can all learn something.or.at any age making assumptions does (you know.chuckle)Īnd I still haven't found the actual s/n date.LOL Hence, this Browning is technically a Model of 1955 (1954-1964) manufactured by FN in Belgium but without any FN marks (Only Browning marks). Importation ceased in 1968 due to the passage of stricter gun control import laws in the United States. Made in Belgium, this model was virtually identical to the European model except for the markings and grips. It is indeed a 1910 Browning, but In 1955, Browning introduced the Model 1910 pistol for the American market as the Model 1955. Then I looked a little closer at the Title that I gave to this string and the markings on the gun and realized I had mis-spoken.aka, I blew it. I spent some time searching FN Browning Serial Number lookup files but all of the published serial numbers followed a different convention than on this pistol. Thank you Stacy for asking that.your question prompted a bit of research, a discovery and I learned something.
